NHL Ice Breaker is a fast-paced, action-packed and realistic simulation of “The Greatest Game on Earth” featuring all 30 of the league’s teams. Game play is built around the specially-designed 54-card playing deck. Each action in NHL Ice Breaker is loosely based on the classic card game of War – high card wins. Opponents play their card(s) at the same time, and the player with the highest card (or highest hand) gets to execute his/her action indicated on the card played. As players win hands, the puck is moved up the ice and toward the opponent’s net. Along the way, players may land on special “Ice Breaker” squares, which can shift momentum in an instant. Once in the Shooting Zone, it’s a classic contest of shooter versus goalie. Did you play your cards right? 1 to 4 players. Ages 8+.
