Activity Ball

Love to hear your child giggle? Then this activity ball with a pullable head is just the toy. We introduced Jack to the activity ball when he was approximately four months of age and could sit upright on his own. The different sounds the ball made were definitely an instant hit with Jack — he giggled each time it made a noise. Since Jack started crawling at 5 months, we were also happy to have toys that caught his attention and made him sit in one place for longer than a few seconds.

What makes the ball great is that there is nothing too complex about the toy. It makes all sorts of entertaining noises simply when the child hits, kicks or falls on top of the toy, and is guaranteed to generate a good belly laugh.

We were also able to use the ball to play peek-a-boo with Jack, and show him the different parts and textures of the ball to explore. It’s an added bonus that even for grown-ups it’s a bit of a kick to pull the head and watch it go wriggling back in.

Now that Jack is the ripe old age of 15 months, the ball is still at the top of the toy bin. He loves to do a belly flop on the ball whenever it is sitting out on the floor because he knows the fun noises that will come out. The giggle maker, as we refer to it, was definitely a winner with Jack and his dad.

Jack is a busy toddler on the go who loves to play and chase his older brother. With Jack’s energy and constant curiosity, finding a toy that peaks his interest and keeps him out of trouble is an ongoing mission for his parents.
